Scott Whisler, Science Teacher & Department Head

Scott joined the Joseph and Florence Mandel Jewish Day School in the fall of 2024. He is a passionate middle school science teacher with experience in independent, public, and experiential education. In 2016, he graduated from the University of Mount Union with a degree in Biology and minor in Adolescent to Young Adult Education. Since then, he has lived and worked in Jackson, WY, Winnetka, IL, and Golden, CO. He and his wife recently moved to Cleveland to be closer to family. Outside of school, Scott enjoys recreating in the Metroparks, reading a book, or enjoying a good video game.
